Marryat Tactical Rods
I have been so impressed by these rods that I now stock the full range. The rods have been strongly influenced by the French interanational rivers fly fishing team over time and are thought to be the most advanced river rods for trout and grayling available - with the range now extended to cover sea-trout, grilse and still water options. The strength of the design is that the rods will cast a short, nymphing, line and as long a cast as you may wish to make to cover dry and spider fishing. In all instances the presentation is first class. All rods are 4 piece, have a good quality cork handle and come in a bag and a square cross section nylon covered rigid rod tube. Specialist Pike Line
A specially designed floating line with a medium length head that is slightly heavier to load the rod for controlled accurate casting with large pike fliees. The short front taper turns over large flies into the wind with ease. The outer coating is extra supple to cope with cold water and remaining memory free. Mangrove Stripping Basket
The most effective stripping basket yet designed for particularly testing locations - such as in the surf or on the rocks when fly fishing into salt water. The basket itself is made from a firm foam with drainage holes and a series of semi-hard spikes to reduce tangles and facilitate line shooting. The basket incorporates a strong belt clip and can be arranged to fit on either the left or right hand side of the body. For ease of transportation it can be broken down to take up less space. Because of the foam construction it is light weight and if you slip and fall on the basket you will not damage it - or yourself!

Marryat Line Straightener
Two plastic pads mounted in a convenient leather holder with a ring for attaching to a fishing vest or necklace. The nylon leader is drawn between the 2 pads with the friction caused straightening the leader.

Marryat Line Cleaner
A similar looking item to the leader straightener with two soft adsorbant pads inside the leather holder. The actual fly line is drawn through the pads which will remove much of the comtaminating dirt (such as grease, floatant, pollen, dust, grit and any other of the many things that get onto a line). Regular cleaning of the fly line will result in better presentation as well as reducing wear to the line and rod rings.

Cap Clip Magnifying Lens
A neat magnifyimg lens that clips onto the peak of fishing caps. The lens is held under the peak until it is needed when it can be flipped into the correct position. Hook Threaders
For those of us who are becoming challenged changing small flies as the light dims these small fly holders prove of great use. They are made from fine sprung wire - similar to fine bobbin threaders. Each threader is about 2" long. Flies are pushed onto the body of the threader before leaving home. Each threader holds 3 flies comfortably. The leader is threaded through the diamond shaped space at the end of the tool and the fly pulled over onto the leader - all that is required is to knot it on. Hook threaders come in packs of 6 for £2.00. I have used them for flies from sizes 16 - 20 with leader 6x and smaller.

Thingamabobber strike indicators
Thingamabobbers - a new design of strike indicator using a sealed pocket of air in a coloured plastic sphere of half an inch diameter. The sphere is extremely buoyant, easy to cast, ultra sensitive, durable and highly visible. Thingamabobbers can be tied on top of a hook shank during fly tying (in the position of a possible parachute post) to make a different dry fly/emerger.
